Cynthia “Cindy” Hambrick, age 55, of Yulee passed away on Sunday November 19, 2017 at UF Health in Jacksonville.
She was born on October 29, 1962 in Jacksonville, FL to Kenneth J. Blackwelder and Jacqueline F. Wesley.
When she was six years old the family lived in South Africa for two years where her step-father was a geologist. She returned to Fernandina Beach where she graduated from Fernandina Beach High School, Class of 1980. She attended and graduated from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton and then received her Master’s Degree in Psychology in San Diego.
She had a private psychology practice from her house in Yulee, FL which she helped build with her own two hands.
She was completely devoted to her children and was very artistic, loved to decorate, craft and create. She was known by all who knew her for her “wicked” sense of humor.
Cindy was very active with Northeast Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Jacksonville.
She leaves behind her children, Jason Feltz of Los Angeles, CA, Emily Hambrick of Yulee, FL, Ethan Hambrick of Yulee, FL, Tiffany Hambrick (step-daughter) of Jacksonville, FL, mother, Jackie Wesley of Yulee, FL, father, Ken Blackwelder of Fernandina Beach, sisters, Robin (Shawn) Humphreys of Charleston, SC, Kim Kirkland of Yulee, FL, Jodi (Greg) Stovall of Weatherford, TX, Wende (Ralph) Saucier of Wellington, FL, step-sister, Candy (Jim) Blackwelder Ritsma, stepbrothers, William (Kristen) Wesley of Jacksonville Beach, Raymond “Pardner” (Billie) Fechtel and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 in Bosque Bello Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Oxley-Heard.
Services will also be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday at Northeast Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 11402 Dunn Creek Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32218.
