I am so saddened to hear of Mrs. Griffin’s passing. I loved assisting her over the years with whatever ailed her. She was so sweet and upbeat that you could not help but smile and feel good when you were with her. I know she sailed through the gates of heaven and now is an angel watching over you. May your memories wrap around you like her arms and ease your burden.

From this day on every time I hear the song “stairway to heaven” I will be thinking of you my dear sweet Aunt. I know that’s where you are on the stairway to heaven, I love you and I hope I contribute to this world and our family as much love, honor and respect as you did. You are a role model for what a strong woman should be and I pray that my daughters follow your blueprint. May you forever be with God until we meet again if I’m lucky enough to travel on the stairway to heaven as you are. I Love You , THANKS for being my Aunt. God bless.

One of our dearest and sweetest aunts has left us. She was everything I wish I could be. Always caring and asking about everyone when you talked to her. You could not have asked for a better aunt. God bless her soul and may she rest in peace with the angels.

Mrs. Griffin was elegant, smart, kind, giving and filled with faith. I feel blessed that she touched my life. When I would visit her over the years with Ted, she was always so nice to me. It was a highlight of my trips to spend time with her. We would sometimes share prayers. I will also miss the telephone conversations during the holidays and other special days. I know that Mrs. Griffin’s spirit soars in Heaven. I will sincerely miss her but I know her presence lives on in my heart.

Thinking about you Delores after seeing your mother’s picture. I still remember her kind-hearted disposition. My daughters and I moved back to Fernandina also in 91′ and you invited us to your home. We are never prepared for the loss of a loved one; but Almighty God is always prepared to help us through that loss. May His promise of the resurrection (John 5:28,29) begin the healing process in your heart, and may His love surround you with the comfort only He can give. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4)  Please accept our sincere condolences.
