I’ll miss his handshake in the mornings when we see each other in the morning. Ms. Norman it was nice getting to know you too.
To Pat, John, and all the Normans, so very sorry to see the passing of Carl in the Decatur tribune-
I’ll never forget sitting in a gas station in Decatur with my bass boat behind me- A gentleman was at the pump next to me and asked why I had rod holders on my boat, and I explained i loved Hybrid Striped Bass fishing on Clinton lake- It was then that Carl pulled out pictures of his GIANT STRIPPED BASS he’s caught and mounted from Norris lake! Our friendship was on- I saw that mount at his home and that started my wife and I to make those same spring trips to beautiful Norris lake to catch those Hog Fish! Thank you Carl for taking the time to talk to a kid at a gas pump! And thanks to you Pat: For being a friend to my mother and for the nice letter you wrote about her when she passed-I’m sorry you lost Carl, but I know you two LOVED retiring on top of that mountain in your log home, and looking down at the beautiful lake all those years together.
To Pat, John, Cheryl, Jake, Tina, Mike, and families, sorry for your loss. Enjoyed many fishing trips and fun times with Carl.
