Hailey Leigh Hutto

May 26, 1994 - November 9, 2019     Age: 25

Hailey Leigh Hutto, 25, of Yulee passed away Saturday, November 9, 2019.

Hailey was born in Fernandina Beach and was a lifelong Nassau County resident. She was a daughter of Mike Hutto and Misty Spikes Hutto. She attended Yulee High School where she enjoyed softball.

Hailey loved all things outdoors. Whether it was at the beach looking for shark’s teeth, spending time in the sun or mud bogging with her Dad, she would be outdoors any chance she could be. Hailey also loved eating. It was said of her if you had food, you were her best friend.

She was very protective of those she loved but that protection was best seen in how much she looked after and loved her daughter. Mila was a sweet bundle of joy that Hailey loved with all her heart.

Hailey leaves behind her daughter, Mila Renee’ Hutto; her parents, Misty Hutto of White Oak, GA and Mike (Sherree) Hutto of Hanahan, SC; her sister Charley Hutto of Yulee her other siblings, Mikhailee Hutto of Hanahan, SC and Landon Spikes of White Oak, GA; her maternal grandparents, Ricky and Angelia Spikes of Yulee and Leroy and Charlotte Hutto of Yulee; step-brother, Morgan Pastorchik; step-sisters, Meagan Pastorchik and Baylee Hutson as well as several aunts, uncles and other extended family members.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 12:00 PM in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends for the hour prior to the service.

We had up and downs but, I loved you like one of my own .I remember watching you take your first steps and sleeping so uncomfortable in your bed when you brought Mila home . If I could trade places with you I would. I hate this.. You will forever be my shining star in the dark. A part of my soul is gone .. I’ll be praying for your mom and dad and sisters and brother and sweet Mila and you will never be forgotten. I love you with all my heart no matter what. I know you know this. Hailey was my oldest friend and much more than that. We grew up together, looked out for each other and although many couldn’t understand because we were so different, our friendship stood the test of time, as well as distance. I am happy I was able to spend time with you one last time and to meet your beautiful daughter. It was truly a blessing from God. You were so much more than what we can put into words to share with others and you will be missed so much more than what we can describe. I love your whole family and I wish I could be there for everyone. I dont understand why this happened and there isn’t much we can say but I am so thankful for the 25 years of friendship we had. I am so thankful for your Mom, Dad, Sister, and grandparents, and of course Mila. I pray everyday for strength for them to continue on in this life without you, to raise Mila, and to never forget the impact that you had on everyone around you. You are truly missed.

I can’t imagine the grief of losing one of your own children. Scotty, Misty, Gena and all of her other family. I am so so sorry that you all are having to go through this. May her memory live on through Mila. I love you all.
