Nancy Lee Rosenberg

January 20, 1949 - October 5, 2017     Age: 68

Nancy Lee Rosenberg, age 68, of Fernandina Beach passed away on Thursday October 5, 2017 at her residence.

Nancy and her siblings were born in Atlanta, GA, as were her parents.  True  “Atlantians”.

She lived in Fernandina Beach for 10 years after moving from Atlanta.

Nancy was the daughter of Barbara Yarn and Leman Rosenberg, Sr.  She is survived by her sister, Susan Fischer, brother, Leman “Buz” Rosenberg, Jr., five nieces and nephews, and seven great nieces and nephews. She was loved and appreciated by many of her relatives and friends.

Nancy was her own person and spoke little of her own accomplishments.  She excelled in Real Estate and “picking” beautiful, unique treasures to surround herself with at home-her favorite place!

This last interest led to the opening of the “PICKER’S MARKET” on Alachua Street in Fernandina Beach in 2011. “PICKER’S” was a favorite destination laced with interesting items, people, and of course, owner-Nancy!!

A vibrant person, Nancy followed her instincts, being profoundly sensitive and deeply human endeared her to family and friends; spunky outspokenness could make her a challenge-but easily forgiven because of an absence of malice in the directness.

Emotional, expansive and caring-Nancy was a larger-than-life woman; insistent on a positive attitude. Nancy’s courage and persistence were an example to all of us.

A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at 4:00 pm in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard in Fernandina Beach.

Please join us and CELEBRATE “Another day in paradise”.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made in Nancy’s name to: Nassau Human Society, 639 Airport Road, Fernandina Beach, FL  32034

Nancy- thanks for being the best boss, friend a person could ever have!
    I consider you family!
I sure wish you could have beaten that cancer, but I’m honored you invited me along for the ride!
I told you I’d be with you until the end. I just wish it didn’t come so soon.
I’ll see you again one day.
Until then, enjoy being pain free and being reunited with your fur babies!!

I so wish I had been able to be there for Nancys service. She was a great person and a fine friend. Always gave me a reason to laugh and unconditional support. She will be terribly missed.

I was one of Nancy’s classmates at Northside High School – she was truly a friend to everyone and such a joy to be around. When I bought my home in Atlanta in 1999, Nancy was my real estate agent. Buying a home is not always an easy experience but we had the best time throughout the process – she was just a delight and I loved that we re-connected. Earlier this year we had our 50th High School Reunion – we were all so disappointed to learn that Nancy would not be able to attend. I could go on and on but we just all loved her so much. My sincere condolences to the family.
