Norman E. Pearson

Norman E. Pearson

November 15, 1957 - June 30, 2019     Age: 61

Mr. Norman E. Pearson, 61, of Yulee passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019 at the Warner Center for Caring.

He was a son of the late Coys and Mae Touchton Pearson and was born in Jacksonville.

He and his family moved to Yulee at the time he began the 3rd grade. He would live in Yulee for the remainder of his life. After school he began his working career. He eventually went to work for Anheuser-Busch and would continue there for over 30 years until his retirement.

Mr. Pearson loved hunting and fishing. In his youth he did more hunting than fishing. He loved deer and fox hunting and belonged to various hunting clubs in North Florida, South Georgia and South Carolina over the years.

In earlier years he coached youth league girls softball in Yulee. From little league age to middle school he enjoyed coaching and guiding those on his team. His All Star team was a very special group of girls to him and he was happy to have been their coach.

While he enjoyed hunting, fishing and coaching those teams, he most loved “his girls”, those being his wife and daughter.

He leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Amanda R. Pearson; his daughter Kendall Pearson, also of Yulee; his sisters, Gloria Byrd and her husband, Gerald of Yulee and Teresa Dickinson and her husband, Donald, of Yulee as well as several dearly loved nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Oxley-Heard Funeral Directors from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.

Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, July 4, 2019 beginning at 10:00 AM in Hughes Cemetery. Chaplain Jackie Hayes of Community Hospice and Palliative Care will officiate.
