Mr. Phillip “Phil” Reddish, age 59, of Yulee passed away on Wednesday morning, March 22, 2017 at his home in Yulee.
Born in Cedar Town, GA, he was the youngest of six children born to the late Jessie Andrew and Bessie Dean Reddish. He grew up in Williston, FL where he graduated from Williston High School. After high school he worked as a Horse Trainer; training quarter horses and Derby race horses. He later worked for Gary Pickle Well Drilling before becoming a Truck Driver. As a Truck Driver, he drove for Coca Cola Bottling Company and Southeastern Atlantic Bottling in Gainesville, FL. He joined Gustafson Dairy Products and worked as Route and Plant Supervisor until 2007 when he moved to Fernandina Beach to be near his daughter and her family. For the past seven years, Mr. Reddish had worked at Coastline Plastics in Yulee.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah Elizabeth Schultz, Juanita Mary Rizer and a grandson, Dylan Crumpton.
Mr. Reddish leaves behind, children, Tifani and Eric White of Cross Junction, VA, Falon Reddish (Steven Kraus) of Fernandina Beach, FL, Kelly Rose (Gary) of Gainesville, GA, stepchildren, Kristie Gagnon of Keystone Heights, FL and Kenneth Crumpton of Fernandina Beach, FL, a sister, Thelma Talley of Gainesville, FL, twin brothers, Jessie Carl Reddish of Morristown, FL, Jerry Lee Reddish of Gainesville, GA, twenty one grandchildren, two great grandchildren and sixteen nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 5:30 pm on Saturday, March 25, 2017 in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley Heard.
His family will receive friends on Saturday, at the funeral home, from 4:30 pm until the hour of service.
