Ralph Edward Pope, 77 of Yulee, Fl passed away October 31, 2017. He was born September 24, 1940 in Jacksonville, Fl.

He was a Florida native and attended Andrew Jackson High School. After high school Mr. Pope joined the United States Air Force and was eventually stationed in Great Fall, Mt where he met the love of his life Diean.

In 1962 they made their home in Jacksonville, Fl and moved to Yulee in 1972.

He was a caring, compassionate man with a big heart and was always willing to help anyone if he thought they needed it.

Mr. Pope was very active with Yulee little league and served as President for many years. He retired from Smurfit-Stone Container Corp.

Mr. Pope enjoyed wood working, trains and just being busy and creative but most of all he loved Golf and spending quality time with his family and friends.

He was preceded by his wife of 46 years, Diean K. Pope, his parents William Terrell Pope and Janie Beatrice McCammon and his sister Terrelene Raulerson.

He is survived by his sons Thomas Pope and Jeffery Pope of Yulee, Fl; His brother William W. Pope (Thelma), of Tampa, Fl; grandchildren TJ Pope, Damien Carre’, Rhiannon Carre, Katrina Griffis and eight great-grandchildren, as well as some very special nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 11:00 am. At United Methodist Church, 86003 Christian Way, Yulee, Fl. A visitation with family will begin at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Northeast Florida Community Hospice.

    Ralph Pope was a great friend! He could drive that golfball a mile and he would go a mile for you! Glad your suffering is over Ralph. Bye for now.

    Mr. Pope was a dear friend of one for many years I always called him pop when he came into the store I will always remember your smile and good heart RIP POP
