Rosemarie was very unique and just trying to write this and my eyes have filled up with tears.
I worked with her until I retired from NCUA in January 2007. We worked as Credit Union Corporate Examiners which required us to be in a constant state of travel all around the USA. She was always happy and more than ready to go out to dinner. Rosemarie liked to just try out things so it was not unusual for her to order three entries —eat a little of each and be done.

We kept in touch the last 10 years by Christmas cards and a few phone calls. I will never forget that the first time I met Rosemarie she shouted out “papa” as joke as I had been stationed in the Philippines in the early 70’s. I fondly called her the Philippine Princess.

She was truly a give to the world and it is a sadder place without her. Heaven on the other hand has become even more joyous.

  • Steve Eddings Posted December 11, 2018 12:46 pm

Rosemarie was always a complete joy to me as a “working partner” and personal friend. She always referred to me as “partner” in the many years of working together. Always smiling and giving to make the day brighter. May God Bless her family and know that she is carrying on her tradition in heaven.

  • Lance McAllister Posted December 11, 2018 12:52 pm

I am shocked and saddened at Rosemarie’s passing; I didn’t even know she was ill until now. I also worked with her at NCUA until my 2007 retirement; she was a great teammate, a tireless worker, and lots of fun to be with. We were often in the gym at the same time and she worked just as hard there as she did on the job. Safe journey, RosaMaria, we’ll see each other again when my time comes.

  • Lisa Minor Posted December 11, 2018 1:08 pm

I will miss Rosemarie immensely. We always loved working together. She was a great mentor and a good friend. We enjoyed eating out and shopping together when we traveled. I loved when she would hug her shopping bag and say, ‘I am so happy with my purchases.’ She made me smile all the time. I will miss watching her nieces grow up thru the pictures she shared. They will always have a great role model in her. My heart aches for you all.

Rest in peace my friend. I miss you already.

  • Donelle Smith Posted December 11, 2018 1:18 pm

The earth is not as nice a place now that Rosemarie is gone. I worked with her for several years including during some tough times – she always smiled and reminded me how grateful we should be. During my recovery from surgery, when I could not talk – she would send me videos of her beautiful great niece to cheer me up. My heart is truly broken; another angel has left the earth.

A good friend, worked with her for many years. Always took time to make sure we were together on handling an issue. I will miss her.

  • Jon Posted December 11, 2018 2:08 pm

I haven’t known Rose that many years, but it didn’t take long to see how she lit up a room when she entered. Always smiling on the outside, no matter what the circumstance. A bright light has been extinguished and she’ll be greatly missed by all who knew her. She will live on in all of us who have memories of her. Keep them close and share them often. Remembering you Rose

    Bill and family,
You have my deepest sympathy at the loss of Rosemarie. She was such a wonderful person and a good friend to me. Although my time working with Rosemarie was very short and limited, I am blessed to have worked with such a fine and professional lady. She was always positive, and strived to ensure fairness and integrity in every aspect of her job. She also became a good friend in a short period of time, reminding me of what is really important in our short lives here. I will always remember her words of encouragement to me, even as she was very ill while trying to help finish our work assignments together earlier this year. The world was truly better for her presence here and I am appreciative of the opportunity to have gotten to know her if only for a short time.

  • Leslie Dorsey Posted December 11, 2018 3:07 pm

The heavens have received a new angel way too soon and we will miss Rose’s optimistic view of life. She was a colleague and friend. Her light will shine down on us. My condolences to her Husband and family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Rosemarie’s family at this difficult time. Rosemarie was one of our examiners for many years, I enjoyed getting to know her over the years and hearing her stories about her travels and of her family. She made me smile and laugh when she visited our credit union. I will miss her and her vibrant personality. I know she’s at peace now.

  • joseph visconti Posted December 11, 2018 7:53 pm

I worked with Rosemarie for several years at NCUA. She was one of the most engaging, energetic and all around nice person to be around. Her work was serious, but her manner was always upbeat and polite. If there is an adventure in the after-life Rosmarie will find it.

  • Diane L. Wiltshire Posted December 11, 2018 10:08 pm

We are all poorer without Rosemarie. She was my coworker, dear friend and soul sister. Princess Rosemarie always lit any room she entered, bringing light, laughter, and love to all she encountered. Heaven is much richer, much brighter now. Rest In Peace my dear, dear friend.

And unconditional love. We have gone for years, not talking, but I always knew we were BFFs. I love you Rose. I miss you and will always… But we will always be us. Chang… mwah!

My condolences to and prayers for William and her other family members. We are told in Ecclesiastes that there is a time for everything. Rosemarie’s aura shone bright where ever she went. I always enjoyed chatting with her when our paths crossed at NCUA functions. She always had a smile on her face and made you felt like you were the only two people in the room having a conversation. May her memory be eternal. My sympathies to her family.

Oh RoseMarie! You were too good for this earth! My heart hurts learning that you’re no longer with us, but I know we’ll meet again some fine day. My last memory of you, is you suggesting we have dinner and see the belly dancers at a Mediterranean place down King Street – and we did!! It was so much fun and full of laughter, just like every memory I have of you. I’m sorry I never made it to the Philippines with you, one day we’ll see it together though! To Rosemarie’s family: My heart breaks for you, and I offer up my sincerest prayers for peace as you walk this difficult path. I pray your Shining Star RoseMarie, will always be guiding you.

  • Victoria Bennett Posted December 12, 2018 11:19 am

I am so sorry to hear of RoseMarie’s passing. Many, many years ago she was my acting Supervisory Examiner, and we stayed friendly throughout the following years as we both worked for NCUA. I hope she is sitting under a tree in the shade, drinking lemonade, eating chocolate and talking with old friends she’s missed. We’ll see her again.

  • D. Freeman Posted December 12, 2018 3:16 pm

My deepest condolences to Rosemarie’s family, I hope the tremendous grief and pain you feel now will someday evolve into smiles as you remember Rosemarie’s life and feel her spirit’s presence about you. Rosemarie’s spirit, her contagious smile, the zest she had for life, the enjoyment she got from trying and succeeding in new endeavors will always be with those that knew her. I hope you can find solace in knowing that Rosemarie’s life brought delight and joy to all of us who were fortunate enough to have known her and that we are all better because of the moments we shared with her.

We first met Rose in Moncks Corner SC in 1986. It is a shock to learn that she has been taken from this world. Although we both went our separate ways for employment, we always kept in touch. It’s a shock because she never mentioned or complained about being ill. She would always invite me out to dinner whenever she was in Phoenix AZ. We called each other sister because that’s how our relationship felt. She always enjoyed life to it’s fullest, I couldn’t even keep up. Rose, we miss you and will always be in our hearts.
