Carol H. Houle passed on August 09, 2024, in Atlantic Beach, FL. She was 82 years old and was born in Drexel Hill, PA on July 07, 1942. She was the daughter of Charles William Hayllar and Elizabeth Roberts Hayllar and she held a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Eastern University in PA and graduated from Marple Newtown High School 1960. She had a career as an accountant while living in the Atlanta, GA area.
In 2002 she made her home on Amelia Island. She was a member of the Newcomers Club, volunteered for the Flowering Fernandina Project, Meals on Wheels for Pets, and Habitat for Humanity. She was active in her beloved beach community and enjoyed all the friends she made along the way. In 2021 she joined multiple friends making their new home at Fleet Landing, Atlantic Beach, FL where she loved going to events, playing croquet, walking the beautiful property and watching her sunsets.
She was predeceased by her parents and her previous husband Walter D. Houle Sr. and sister-in-law Martha Hayllar.
She leaves behind a daughter Sharon E. Mooney, a son William G. Mooney (Wendy), grandchildren Hayden G. and Heather P. Mooney, sister Barbara H. Rassmussen (Jim), brothers Russ Hayllar (Cary), Bill Hayllar (Linda), John Hayllar, Bob Hayllar (Karen), her cousin Joe Johnston, step-daughter Nancy Houle Clark (Craig), step-daughter Sharon Houle Shannon (Trip), step-son Walter D. Houle Jr. (Pam), step-grandchildren Michael C. Clark, Andrew T. Clark (Britton), Colin P. Shannon (Sarah), Kara E. Shannon, Katherine M. Shannon, along with many nieces, nephews and close friends.
