Donna Z. Lewis, age 73 of Fernandina Beach, FL passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at her home.

She was born on April 2, 1946 in Bailey Harbor, Wisconsin to the late Alfon and Freda Mackay Zachow . She met Clifford Lewis in 1981 and they married in 1983. Donna will be remembered as a loving, caring person who always had a smile and a helping hand for everyone. She enjoyed being outdoors and fishing. She loved animals and opened her loving home to many pets she adopted from the Nassau Humane Society. Donna was involved with the Ladies Auxiliary with American Legion Post # 54 and VFW Post # 4351.

She worked for many years at Amelia Island Plantation as a Garmache Chef, a job she truly enjoyed until she retired to care for her husband in his final years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford G. Lewis who passed in 2016.

She leaves behind her children, Shelane Cox and her husband Jay, Joseph Taskonis; sisters, Sandy Filiput, Darlene Pontzolff and her husband Jim and Carol Jones; grandchildren, Katherine Harper, Jayson Cox, Ashley Smith and four great-grandchildren.
