Sending our deepest sympathy for the lost of Gloria! Although some time has gone by, Peter and I can’t imagine that She is gone! We were neighbours in the APW association. Our love for cooking, gardening, travelling and our carriers in bancking, made us the best of friends. She was glamorous, loving, kind, with a beautiful smile and a loving heart. We shared recipes. Decoration tips, and she even showed me how to apply my makeup correctly. The placemats with the sunflowers you had gifted Us is a daily reminder of you and how much we love you and miss you. May your memory be eternal.❤️❤️✝️🙏

Mrs. Gigi was well known to our girls for her tea parties. She gave each of our girls their own mini tea sets that are still displayed today, even as teenagers. Gigi was a wonderful neighbor and friend. We are so sad to hear of her passing, but we know that she is throwing the biggest party heaven has seen!

Our sincere and everlasting sympathies to David and their family in the passing and loss of Gloria. She was our neighbor extraordinaire from the day we moved in across the street. Her love of travel was evident when a mutual friend once said to her”Gloria you’ve been 1000 places” and her reply was “I know and I want to go 1000 more!” She was 92 at the time. She was both beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. There are so many things we will miss about her. Her spirit, kindness and enjoying a glass of wine together over a great dinner and the chatter about all kinds of things is what I will miss most. Rest in Peace my friend . Gloria and I are cousins. My father and her father were brothers. I remember when I was a kid, we lived in Burbank and when Gloria was a flight attendant and she was flying out of Burbank airport, she would stop by our house for a quick chat with my mom - and sometimes my dad when he wasn't at work. I always thought she was so glamorous and exciting! Fly high, fly free dear Glo. I will meet you in the next life, I am sure. Much love. Annie

I have so many fond memories of Gloria. From quiet evenings on Pleasant Lake or Wild Goose Pond in New Hampshire to watching a bear climb over our balcony in Beech Mountain, North Carolina. I will forever cherish our trips to Lake Thun in Switzerland and the unforgettable Galapagos Islands and mainland Ecuador. One of the most kind and generous women I have ever known, I miss you now and forever.

I had the pleasure of meeting GG for the first time when I was 16 years. She made an unforgettable impression on my heart. Sometimes in life you meet people who you feel connected to and she had a way of making everyone feel special and important. I admired that about her. She was kind, loving, welcoming and beautiful. Just recently, a few months back I got to see her again after 15 years. We picked up where we left off and her warm, loving personality was just as I remembered. She told me I was like sunshine and I will never forget that. If only all women were like GG, the world would be a better place.

Gloria Dawn Beeman, whose beauty, adventurous spirit and unwavering devotion to her family enriched the lives of all who knew her, passed away on July 3, 2026 in Amelia Island, Florida with her husband David Beeman and her grandson, Aaron Weihe by her side. She was 92.
Gloria was born and raised in Los Angeles, California by her mother, Beryl Hooper and father, Ralph Glasgow. She attended multiple local schools before graduating from Verdugo Hills High School before attending a local college for a few years. An opportunity arose to become a flight attendant, and she took it. She worked out of New York City and Burbank, California where she developed her passion for travel.
Her next life phase was in the greater Kansas City area where she became the proud stay at home mother of three daughters. After the children were in school, Gloria went to work for a suburban bank in Roeland Park, Kansas as a Personal Banking Officer. She found lasting relationships not only with her fellow bankers but also with the many customers who found her to be knowledgeable, professional, and generally interested in their lives.
Gloria met David while both were cheering on their daughters at softball games. They shared over 50 years of marriage, raising five daughters, and creating a lifetime of memories. Gloria was a devoted mother to her three daughters and two stepdaughters and an active loving grandmother to her five grandchildren.
Gloria lived a long, meaningful life filled with style, humor, and grace. She was an epicurean and enjoyed cooking and trying new flavors from other countries. She was an avid reader, loved decorating, spoiling their Norwich Terriers, and spending time with friends and family. GG, as she was fondly referred to by her grandchildren, was a grandmother who took a genuine and active interest in her grandchildren’s lives and cheered them on every step of the way. She showed them that life was meant to be lived fully through adventure, laughter and the people that you love.
Her journeys across most of Europe, parts of Africa, Asia, Canada, North and South America left behind a legacy of warmth, beauty, and cherished memories. She often traveled with her children and grandchildren. GG was beloved by all. We will miss her more than words can say, and we will carry her love, her lessons, and her joyful spirit with us for the rest of our lives.
Gloria is survived by her devoted husband, David Beeman; daughters Julie Maley and her husband Paul Maley, Jana Ruiz and her husband Dennis Koch, stepdaughters Andrea Beeman and her husband Ken Montgomery, and Marea Beeman and her partner Christopher Alberto, grandchildren Aaron, Maximilian, Genevieve Weihe and Isabelle and Ethan Koch. She was preceded in death by her daughter Jennifer Ruiz, her mother, Beryl Hooper Ernst and her father, Ralph Glasgow.
