Joyce Marie Moody, age 61 passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Warner Center for Caring.

She was born on May 9, 1957 in Fernandina Beach, Florida to Ruby Ailene Wise and the late Edd Collins, Jr.

A lifelong resident of Yulee, Florida, Joyce was known by all who knew her as a loving mother to her children and a doting grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed walking on the beach, fishing and working in her garden.

She is preceded in death by her father, her brother Dave Edward Collins and grandson Joshua Hatcher.

She leaves behind her children, Brandi (Russell Horton)Hatcher of Hilliard, Florida, Gary Wayne Hatcher of Brunswick, Georgia, Thomas L. Moody of Kingsland, Georgia; her mother, Ruby (James) DeBoyd of Yulee, Florida; sisters, Diane (Kirby) Davis of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, Janet (Javier Espinosa) Collins of Lyons, Georgia; grandchildren, Joann (Kenny) Hatcher, Shi Hatcher, Dawlton Hatcher, Lora Wilson, Hannah Hatcher, Hope Hatcher; great-grandchildren, Kenley, Kali, Asher, Delaney and Dalilah.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Monday, January 7, 2019 in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the hour of service at Oxley-Heard Funeral Home.

She will be laid to rest in Hughes Cemetery in Yulee, Florida.
