Teresa Tanner Llewellyn, 59, of Fernandina Beach passed away Monday, April 01, 2019 at the Warner Center for Caring.

Born in McRae, GA she was a daughter of the late Lonnie E. Tanner, Jr. and Loweise Hartley Tanner. She lived much of her younger life in Fernandina Beach and was an in home caretaker.

In addition to her father, she was also predeceased by a brother, Lonnie E. Tanner, III in 2009.

She leaves behind her mother, Loweise Tanner of Fernandina Beach; a brother, Robert (Betty) Tanner of Helena, GA; two sisters, Debbie Davis of Fernandina Beach and Sandra (Jimmy) Kiernan of Jacksonville; her longtime boyfriend, Tom Bowler of St. Mary’s GA and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Directors to remember and celebrate her life. Chaplain Jackie Hayes of Community Hospice and Palliative Care will officiate.

    Teresa and.I were in the same class and her brother Robert and I played baseball for the Redbirds in Senior League. I always liked Teresa and remember her as both smart and pretty. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
