Timothy K. Johnson

November 17, 1971 - February 4, 2017     Age: 45

Mr. Timothy “Tim” Keegan Johnson, age 45, formerly of Cape Cod passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL.

Born in Rochester, NY, he is the son of Mary Jane Johnson and Richard Thomas Johnson.   Tim grew up in Suffolk County, Long Island where he attended Hauppauge High School.  As a member of the graduating Class of 1990 he received recognition for his determination and perseverance.    In 2000 he moved to Cape Cod and lived in a home supported by Community Connections while pursuing studies in Culinary Art, Computers and Retail at Cape Cod Community College.  Tim remained in South Yarmouth until moving to Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island, FL in October of 2015; where he lived at Quality Health and was excellently cared for by their staff.

Remaining true to his roots, he was a fan of the New England Patriots, Boston Celtics and a good meal.

Tim was Catholic by faith.

He leaves behind, his mother, Mary Jane Johnson and her husband, Larry Williams, Amelia Island, FL and South Dennis, MA; his father, Richard Johnson and his wife, Sandy, Stratford, CT; his sister, Kristin Kallstrand and her husband, Don, Fernandina Beach, FL; brothers, Zachary Johnson, Milford, CT, Ryan Mushin, Georgetown, Cayman Islands; a niece, Isa Kallstrand and two nephews, Nate and Owen Kallstrand and his faithful assistants, Danielle Vick and Valli Smith, all of Fernandina Beach, FL.

Tim’s family will receive friends on Friday, at the funeral home, from 1:00 pm until the hour of service.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 10, 2017 in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley Heard with Reverend Father Jose Kallukalam, officiating.

Following the service, Tim will be laid to rest in Bosque Bello Cemetery.

    I took care of Tim when he lived in the group home on Cape Cod.. He was funny and happy to smile when I visited him.. I have thought of him often and hope he was happy in Florida near his family. I am sorry to learn of his death. Thank you for placing his obituary in the Cape Cod Times.

    Richard and Mary Jane, I was so sadden to read of Timmy’s passing. I was there to see him com into this world …I did not expect to see him leave in my lifetime. When I saw Timothy’s picture I saw in him all the Johnson’s I grew to love as an extended family. You will be in my prayers.
