Aaron Joel Fillingim

Aaron Joel Fillingim, 27, of Jacksonville passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021.
Born in Jacksonville, Aaron was the son of Lewis Fillingim and Pamela Farmer Fillingim. He was raised in Yulee and educated in Nassau County schools. He was a member of the Yulee High School Class of 2011.
He had obtained his Associates degree from Florida State College at Jacksonville and was currently working on his Bachelor's degree. Aaron had been a Customer Service Representative with Citi Bank.
He was a young man full of energy who was at the same time hardworking and fun loving. Aaron was spontaneous. He loved his family above all else. His adventurous spirit fueled his love of traveling. He even sported a tattoo of a compass and the saying To Travel Is To Live
He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Ray Farmer and Lewis Fillingim.
He leaves behind his mother, Pam Fillingim of Yulee; his father, Lewis Fillingim of Fleming Island; his sister, Deanna Fillingim of Casselberry; his grandmothers, Joyce Farmer of Yulee and Ann Fillingim of Jacksonville as well as many extended family members he was close to.
There are no services planned for Aaron at this time.

I was heartbroken to hear about the passing of Aaron. When I taught him and Deanna out at Yulee Elementary they were both incredible kids to teach and be around. Aaron was the kind of young man that you love to teach and was a pleasure to be around. I remember him being so respectful and always with a smile on his face.
