Albert Warren Andrews

Albert Warren Andrews, 74 of Fernandina Beach, Florida was a loving husband, father, “Unkie” and friend. After a short illness he passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Baptist Medical Center Nassau.
He was born to the late Joseph K. Andrews and Helen E. Hinkley on June 25, 1950, in Beverly, Massachusetts. He graduated from Beverly High / Trade School in 1970. On July 3, 1971, he married his high school sweetheart Sheila Ann Bogel, and together they raised two children in South Berwick, Maine. He worked at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard from 1972 to 1997. He moved with his family to Fernandina Beach, Florida in 1997, where he worked at Kings Bay Naval base until his retirement in the spring of 2022. After retiring from the Department of Defense he went on to work for Serco at the Naval Station Mayport until 2024.
He was known for his unwavering love for his family, quick wit and a sense of humor that only those who knew and loved him would understand. He had many roles, but his most cherished was being, “Grampy.”
He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Sheila, his two children, William R. Andrews and Katrina M. Gammon (Scott), his grandchildren, Ryan Andrews (Faith), Marshall, Lorelei and Colton Gammon. His sister’s in-law, Elizabeth Bogel, Linda Glennon (Robert), and Christine O’Reilly (Kevin) and his nieces and nephews, Shannon, Brenna, Kacie, Tarrah, Joseph, William and Grace.
A Mass will be held at Saint Micheal’s Church in Fernandina Beach, Florida on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 11:00 am.
