Miss Allison Nicole Bushey, age 21 of Fernandina Beach, passed away on Sunday morning, March 6, 2016.

Born in Virginia Beach, VA, she was the daughter of Allen Paul and Charmaine �Sherry� Grace Ellington Bushey. At the age of five her family relocated to Jacksonville where they lived in the Arlington section of town. Allison attended Merrill Road Elementary, Don Brewer Elementary and University Christian Schools. She was a member of the Flying Fish swim team in Jacksonville and participated in many meets and competitions. She played T-Ball and Tae kwon do. In 2007, her family came to Nassau County where she attended Yulee Middle School and graduated from Yulee High School, Class of 2013. While at Yulee High School, Allison excelled scholastically as a member of the National Honor Society and taking College Prep classes and athletically as a member of the Girl�s Volley ball Team. Since high school, she has attended the University of North Florida in pursuit of her degree in Fitness and Athletic Training. After graduation she wanted to enlist in the Navy and become an Officer. Allison obtained her CNA License and worked for a short time with a local home healthcare agency. She worked at Harris Teeter where she has been a vital team member since 2011.

She loved Horses a well as riding and showing Western Style. Allison had shown and won ribbons from various local events as well as the Georgia State Fair in Perry, GA.

She was an avid Fitness buff and could be found daily with friends at her favorite local gym.

For her drive, determination and achievements, she recently received an invitation to attend the U.S. Naval Academy.

Allison leaves behind, her parents, Allen and Sherry Bushey, Fernandina Beach, FL, her brother, Aaron Bushey and his wife, Mandy, Jacksonville, FL, her sister, Andrea Kountz, Jacksonville, FL, paternal grandparent, Dolores Seals, St. Pete, FL, maternal grandparents, Phillip Ellington and his wife, Cindy, Kingsport, TN and two nieces, Emily and Addison Bushey as well as a nephew, Aiden Bushey.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm on Thursday, March 10, 2016 in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley Heard with Reverend Jackie Hayes, officiating.

Her family will receive friends on Thursday, at the funeral home, from 2:00 pm until the hour of service.

Allison will be laid to rest in Bosque Bello Cemetery.
