Condolences to my neighbor, friends, and classmate Nathaniel growing up in Yulee, Florida. I am so sorry for the loss of Sherri. Loss of a loved one is never easy to express, we as a child of GOD, know we will see them again. No words can ever lessen the pain and tears, but the memories of you loved one will help get you all through. To the entire Thomas family, may GOD's love continue to heal your hurt, restore your joy, and dry your tears. Love to all of you!!!

Anoya Cheree Glover

2024-02-22

On a beautiful day, April 8, 1967 in Fernandina Beach, Florida, a baby was born to the late Mr. George “Cooney” Glover, and Ms. Gloria “Jean” Thomas whom they named Anoya Cheree Glover. Affectionately known as “Sherri.” She accepted Christ as her savior at an early age. Anoya joined Harper Chapel Baptist Church and found joy in visiting other ministries. She was a bright student who graduated from Fernandina Beach High School with honors. She then went on to serve our country and travel the world in the United States Army, where she was quickly promoted to the rank of Specialist 4.

A lifelong learner, Sherri was always striving to take in the world in any way she could, be it attaining new skills, exploring new spaces or making new friends. She loved comedy, food and music, especially the works of the legendary Prince. Her passion for helping people led her to a career in healthcare where she served as a nurse for nearly two decades. She loved her work and cared for her patients and her coworkers like they were family. She would go on to become a member of House of Love Holiness Church under the leadership of Dr. Rhonda Brown.

On February 22, 2024, Ms. Anoya Cheree Glover was called by the creator to rest eternally in his garden. She leaves to cherish her memories; a loving mother, Ms.Gloria A.Thomas; her sons, Javon S. Richardson and Darrius L. Postell; her daughters, Ebony S. Westmoreland, and Jaya D. Riley; bonus children, Vance K. Deleslie and Peggy L. Quarterman; and her grandchildren: Jamaree A.S. Richardson, Jy’cere S. Richardson, Josiah C. Heath, Kashdyn R. White, Khaza K. White, Dream R. White and Ms. Kaylani Grace Johnson.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 1, 2024 at Oxley-Heard Funeral Directors from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.

A homegoing celebration will be held at: The Journey Church 95707 Amelia Concourse Yulee, Fl 32097 on Saturday March 2, 2024 at 2:00 PM

She will be laid to rest at O'Neil Cemetery
