Mrs. Arminda Gonzalez, 100, of Fernandina Beach passed away Friday, December 11, 2020 at her home.

Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Francisco and Isabel Rivera.

She moved to New York City shortly after World War II and for nearly 40 years worked as seamstress in the garment industry. After retirement she returned to Puerto Rico before returning to New York. She moved to Fernandina Beach to be near her daughter seven years ago.

She was a faithful Catholic all of her life and when able, had attended St. Michael�s Catholic Church.

Mrs. Gonzalez will be remembered as a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Adrian and her granddaughter, Maria Quinn.

She leaves behind her son, Adrian Gonzalez of Fort Mill, SC and her daughter, Gloria Bresciani of Fernandina Beach as well as her grandchildren, Anthony, Catherine and Adrian and 9 great grandchildren, Maria Anna, Louis, Victoria, Julia, Marc Anthony, Joey, Jack, Max, Vanessa.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gonzalez will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2020 in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Directors with Fr. Jose Kallukalam officiating.

The family will receive friends for the hour before the service. She will be laid to rest at Bosque Bello Cemetery.

The family asks donations be made, in her memory, to St. Jude�s Research Hospital or Community Hospice of NE Florida.
