Arthur "Art" Wilson

With deep sorrow we announce that Arthur �Art� Wilson (86) passed away in Jacksonville, FL on Sunday, October 25, 2020.

Arthur was born to Frank and Hanna (Obadal) Wilson, August 14, 1934 in Jacksonville, FL.

Art graduated from Yulee High School in 1954 and went on to serve as an MP in the U.S. Army. He then returned to Yulee and he acquired his Master Electrician�s License. Art was initiated into the IBEW, Local Union 177 and began his career working on projects primarily in Fernandina and Jacksonville.

Art enjoyed golfing and traveling but his passion was being a Square Dance Caller and Instructor, which he did for 35 years. He started a club called the Sweet �Art� Squares and became Present of the Northeast Florida Square & Round Dance Association.

Art was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Fred Wilson, his sister, Helen Wilson Journigan and his son John Wilson.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lucille Martin Wilson, his two daughters, Diane Oberstadt (Bruce) Ren�e Wilson and his granddaughter, Jennifer Lucille Oberstadt. Art is also survived by his brothers, Howard (Mary Jane), Richard (Dolores) and Ronald (Gail) as well as several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Yulee Baptist Church, 85971 N Harts Rd on Thursday, October 29, 2020. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m., with a Church service at 11:00 a.m. A graveside service at Hughes Cemetery immediately following.

There will be no home visitation following the service. The family requests all attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Flowers are welcome or in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society or Community Hospice

We so enjoyed square dancing �back in the day� before children. Mary Tom and Joe Drew introduced us to dancing with Art and Lucille and we followed them for several years. Enjoyed hearing Art sing � he will be greatly missed, I�m sure . Love to you and prayers, Lucille
