Mrs. Barbara Macomber, age 58 of Yulee, FL passed away Wednesday morning, May 25, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. Macomber was born on March 11, 1958 in Columbus, Ohio one of seven children born to the late Garland and Beulah Hall. She came to Jacksonville at a young age and has been a resident of Yulee since 2013. Mrs. Macomber was employed at Duval Ford in the Service Department for 16 years and later became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for Some Place Like Home Assisted Living in Jacksonville. She retired in 2011. Mrs. Macomber loved going to church, was an avid wrestling fan, but above all was her deep love and devotion to her family.

Along with her parent, Mrs. Macomber was preceded in death by two brothers.

She leaves behind her husband of 11 years, Gilbert Macomber, Jr. of Yulee, FL; her children, Jeremiah Johnson and his wife Virginia of Jacksonville, FL, Jessica Johnson also of Jacksonville, FL, Gilbert �Skibo� Macomber III and his wife Shannon of Callahan, FL; her brother Leroy Adkins and his wife Debbie of Jacksonville, FL; her three sisters, Betty Jo Brown and Brenda Cheesebrew both of Columbus OH, and Linda Sue of Kentucky; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Camarotti officiating. She will be laid to rest in Hughes Cemetery following the service. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
