Beverly Boe Arnold

2025-04-10

Beverly Boe Arnold, age 100 of Amelia Island, FL passed away at her home on April 10, 2025.

Bev Arnold lived life to the fullest until the age of 100. She was born in Loyal, Wisconsin on September 25, 1924, and left us on April 10, 2025. Bev became a registered nurse through the University of Minnesota at Northwestern Hospital the year that World War II ended. She met her future husband when she traveled to Pennsylvania for Thanksgiving dinner at her cousin’s house. Her cousin had also invited her husband’s brother, Chuck from New Jersey, to join them. It was love at first sight and 7 months later they were married. They settled in New Jersey and Bev became a nurse at Sloan Kettering hospital in New York. Soon after, their sons Gregory and Stephen were born and were followed by two daughters, Patricia and Brenda.

Bev was always a force to be reckoned with, a hard worker and the life of the party. She became a successful entrepreneur with her friend Beverly, and they established “The 2 Beverley’s”, a home goods and interior firm. However, she confessed they initially started the business because they wanted to shop in the market in New York City. Bev’s artistic side carried over into floral arranging. She participated in a course with White House floral designers for fun. In later years she utilized her skills as an integral part of the “Petal Pushers” floral arranging team at the Amelia Plantation Chapel.

Chuck and Bev retired to Amelia Island, Florida from Rumson, New Jersey in 1988. They became a popular couple in plantation social life. They loved playing golf and Bev became a proficient golfer, achieving 4 holes-in-one (making her husband jealous)! Their popular golf cart “the Chuck Wagon” was a frequent sight throughout the plantation. Bev sang in the Plantation Choir, played bridge up to four times a week and participated in line dancing until she was 99.

Bev was predeceased by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Arnold, their daughter, Brenda Arnold Stefan and their grandson, Alexander Holgate. She is survived by three children, Charles Gregory Arnold (Gail) of Sandy, Utah; Stephen Bruce Arnold (Debra) of Richmond, Virginia and Patricia Arnold of Stevensville, Michigan. She was a cherished grandmother of 5 grandchildren: Kristina Lee (Mike), Lauren Clarke, Thomas Arnold (Micaela), Keri Hostetler (Andrew) and Morgan Holgate (Deidre) and 14 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Pippa. She is lovingly remembered by Marie Billings (Rich) who was like another daughter to her.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025 at the Amelia Plantation Chapel at 11:00 a.m. An internment at the columbarium and refreshments will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, please spread joy by donating to the Amelia Plantation Chapel, Cat’s Angels or your favorite charity.
