Bryan was one of the first friends I made when I moved to Amelia in 1991. He was a joy to be around. He looked on the bright side of life. His personality was up-lifting. He will long be remembered for his sunny disposition and his Halloween Parties. Hugs to Percy and the Burlingame family. May God comfort you in your time of great loss. I love you Bryan!

2026-07-03
It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Bryan Burlingame, who passed away on the morning of July 3, 2026, at the age of 57.
Bryan was a devoted husband, beloved son, cherished brother, proud uncle, loyal friend, and a respected member of his community. His life was defined by kindness, compassion, and an unwavering willingness to help others. Those who knew Bryan knew they could always count on him. Whether helping a neighbor, supporting a friend, or being there for his family, he gave generously of his time, his heart, and his love.
Bryan especially treasured his family. He found great joy in spending time with his nieces and nephews and was always ready to lend a helping hand, offer encouragement, or simply share a laugh. His gentle spirit, warm smile, and generous heart made him a positive source, people naturally gravitated toward. Many described Bryan as an angel on earth—a man whose quiet strength, humility, and compassion brought comfort and hope to everyone around him.
He had a gift for making people feel welcome. Bryan's outgoing personality, wonderful sense of humor, and genuine interest in others allowed him to build lasting friendships wherever he went. His laughter was contagious, his conversations memorable, and his presence brought light into every room. His legacy is not measured by material possessions, but by the countless lives he touched through simple acts of kindness and unconditional love.
Above all, Bryan was the beloved husband of Percy Ismael Burlingame. Their marriage was built upon love, trust, devotion, and steadfast companionship. Together, they shared a life filled with cherished memories, unwavering support, and a love that will endure beyond this life. Bryan was Percy's greatest blessing, best friend, and soulmate. Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his love will forever remain in Percy's heart.
Bryan is lovingly survived by his devoted husband, Percy Ismael Burlingame; his loving mother, Jane (David) Valitsky, sister Candy Shook; his brother, Clark (Kimberly) Burlingame; along with his beloved nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends whose lives were forever enriched by his kindness. Bryan is predeceased by his father, Melvin Burlingame, grandparents, a great niece, and a great-great nephew.
A Viewing and Visitation will be held to celebrate Bryan's life on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at Oxley-Heard Funeral Home, 1305 Atlantic Avenue, Fernandina Beach, Florida 32034 with Funeral Services beginning at 3:00 PM.
Family and friends are warmly invited to attend as they gather to celebrate a remarkable man whose love, compassion, and generosity will never be forgotten.
Though our hearts ache with his absence, we find comfort in knowing that Bryan's legacy lives on in every act of kindness he inspired, every life he touched, and every heart that was blessed to know him.
Bryan will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
"A beautiful soul is never truly gone. Though absent from our sight, Bryan's love and light remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him."
