Carlene Carter Kitchens, 83, of Southside Drive, Blakely, Ga., passed away Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016 at the Four County Health and Rehab in Richland, Georgia.

Mrs. Kitchens was born in Waycross, GA on June 9, 1933 to the late John Loyd Carter and Nellie Lee Bagley Carter. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Clarence Hiluard Kitchens, Sr. and a sister: Geraldine C. Byrum. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Blakely and a homemaker.

Mrs. Kitchens survivors include a daughter: Theresa F. Morrell and Jim of Ft. Gaines, Ga, a son: Clarence Hiluard Kitchens, Jr. and April of Cumming, GA, 2 brothers: Carlos Carter and Ruby and J. T. Carter, all of Fernandina Beach, Fl. There are5 Grandchildren: Trey Kitchens of Atlanta, Ga, Will Foster (Kirsten) and Casey Puckett (Will) all of Blakely, Ga., Whitney Spurlock of Dawson, Ga. and Caleb Morrell of Statesboro, Ga. She also has 4 Great Grandchildren: Rylan Foster, Wyatt Puckett, Moly Foster and Hendrix Spurlock.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, Dec. 3, 2016 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home in Blakely, GA. The family received friends at the funeral home starting at 12:30 PM. Rev. Phil Thomas will be officiating.

Local services were held on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at 2:00 pm from the graveside in Bosque Bello Cemetery as she was laid to rest beside her husband.
Her family received friends on Sunday, at Oxley Heard from 12:30 � 1:30 pm.
