Catherine Frink

Mrs. Catherine Danberg Frink, 102, of Fernandina Beach passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019.

Born in Old Town she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Eugena Chapman Danberg.

An early graduate of Peck High School, Mrs. Frink�s working career was as a seamstress. She worked in earlier years for Gentry�s Dry Cleaning and Laundry but was self employed after leaving there. Her skills as a seamstress were known to be impeccable. She was able to do anything with seamstress work she attempted.

Her work ethic and her many skills carried over into other aspects of her life. She loved to knit and is remembered as a wonderful cook and especially talented baker. Whether it was cakes or pies, she baking always yielded the most delicious results. She was active in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Besides their home life she could always be counted upon to be with them in school activities and church activities.

She was an active member of First Missionary Baptist Church until her declining health slowed her involvement there.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Neal Frink, in 1994.

She leaves behind her children, Dr. Caroliese Frink Reed of Philadelphia, PA, Cecil Frink of Fernandina Beach, Patricia Charlene Frink of Alexandria, VA and Neil Frink and his wife, Joyce, of Fernandina Beach; a sister, Mary Lang of Miami, FL; her grandchildren, Kasimu Clark and Kali Reed and her husband, George Hughes and Sharif Frink; three great grandchildren, Kymble Clark, Kori Clark and Kiera Clark as well as many extended family members.

Funeral services for Mrs. Frink will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 beginning at 11:00 AM at First Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Darien K. Bolden, Sr. officiating.

The family will receive friends at Oxley-Heard Funeral Directors Friday, January 4, 2019 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.

Mrs. Frink will be laid to rest beside her husband at Bosque Bello Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
