Charlotte Ann Messer, age 71, of Yulee, FL passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Baptist Medical Center-Nassau.

She was born on May 7, 2018 in Kermit, West Virginia to the late John and Rhoda (Short) Pack. Charlotte grew up In Kermit and attended Kermit High School.

She married Larry G. Messer in 1978 and they moved to Kirkersville, Ohio. Together they owned and operated a General Store in Mt. Sterling, Ohio.

In her spare time, Charlotte loved gardening and flowers, a hobby she particularly enjoyed after the family moved to the warmer climate of Florida in 2002. She also enjoyed shopping. Larry and Charlotte often traveled to Branson, Missouri to enjoy the shows.

Charlotte is preceded in death by her son, Willis Ray Damron in 2016 and her parents.

Surviving family members include, her husband of 40 years, Larry Messer of Yulee, Florida; daughter, Jennifer Croghan and her husband Perry of Grove City, Ohio; step-daughter, Laura Meade of Kermit, West Virginia; step-son, Gary Lee Messer of Yulee, Florida and grandchildren, Justin, Dale and Zachary.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Oxley-Heard Funeral Home.
