On May 30, 2017, Charlotte Bottinger Bachman went to her eternal resting place, having passed away at the Warner Center for Caring in Fernandina Beach.

The daughter of Ella Gertrude McKechnie and Charles Milton Bottinger, she was born in Port Washington, New York on June 1, 1935. �Char� is survived by her �surrogate daughter� Karen (Stan) Newman, cousins; Walter (Carol) McKechnie, Bill (Jake) Bottinger, David (Ellen) Leary and many very special friends.

Char was an R.N. for nearly five decades. Upon retiring from nursing, she dove into one of many of her passions, art, and while creating her art, she worked at the Waterwheel Art Gallery as gallery director and was a long-time member of the Island Art Association. She was an artist who will forever be remembered for her whimsical watercolor pieces that can be found in many residences and businesses on the island.

She and her husband, Peter Bachman, shared their love of performing arts, as they were both musicians and actors. Char performed, directed and did production artwork for nearly forty productions for the local theatre groups since 1985.

Char celebrated her birthday when friends and family gathered for a cocktail party in true Char fashion.

Memorials may be made to any of the community theatres in Fernandina Beach.
