Cheryl Bibik

2019-11-08

Mrs. Cheryl Bibik, 74, of Fernandina Beach passed Thursday, November 7, 2019 at the Warner Center for Caring.

Born in Richfield Springs, NY, she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Roberta Davis Lincourt.

For many years Mrs. Bibik held several positions in Banking. Beginning as Customer Service Representative, she also worked as a Loan Officer and eventually rose the position of Branch Manager. While her occupation was in banking, Mrs. Bibiks passion was Interior Design. Time and time again she was able to work in various homes and bring about beautiful results.

She and her husband, Robert, moved to Fernandina Beach three years ago from Vero Beach. They lived in Florida since his discharge from the Navy in 1969.

Mrs. Bibik will be remembered as an outgoing person who made friends wherever she went. Her giving and loving spirit, which could always be found, was most evident when she was with children. She genuinely loved children, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her birthday cake was always adorned with Honey, Mom and Gram.

She leaves behind her husband of 56 years, Robert Bob Bibik of Fernandina Beach; her son, Scott Bibik and his wife, Pamela, of Cumming, GA; her daughters, Christine McCown of Emerado, ND and Suzanne Draluck and her husband, Matthew, of Woodbine, GA; a sister, Pamela Alexander of Clarksville, TN; 7 grandchildren, Mary Bibik, Emily Bibik, Joseph Bibik, Sarah Harlow, Jessica Duncklee, Ashely McBride, and Joshua Draluck and 6 great grandchildren, Korbin, Sadie, Abbey, Emmy, Everly and Jace.

The family will receive friends Monday, November 11, 2019 at Oxley-Heard Funeral Directors from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.

A Mass for Mrs. Bibik will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at St. Michaels Catholic Church with Fr. Jose Kallukalam as celebrant. After the Mass family and friends will gather at her home for a time to remember and celebrate her life.

Rather than mourn her death, please join in celebrating her life.

She will be laid to rest in private family ceremony at a later date.

The family asks donations be made, in her memory, to the Warner Center for Caring or the American Cancer Society.

Aunt Cheryl was such a loving person always making others feel welcome by her hospitality and smiles. She loved her family and made friends always feel like family. She loved to be with her sisters they spent many hours drinking coffee and solving the worlds problems usually done at a kitchen table or out on the lanai. As a child I remember Aunt Cheryls cooking, especially her Hershey pie. Once I started a family of my own I had much joy watching aunt Cheryl spoil my kids and show them the love and kindness she was always known for. I Feel truly blessed to have been a part of her life and I feel even more privileged to have called her my aunt. She will be greatly missed and I look forward for the time when I will see her and my mom again. Revelation 21:3,4

I had the pleasure to spend time with Cheryl at family events. She was always happy, positive, and we would talk about what was new and exciting in her life. Our last visit was for Everlys 1st birthday. We were all so happy to be there. We had the merit to see her eyes sparkle when she held her great-granddaughter. We love you and will miss you dearly.

LOIS HOFFMANN November 11, 2019
I was blessed to have known Cheryl for many years. She was my daughter, Pams mother-in-law and always was so warm and gracious. At family events she was like a mom to everybody. Her cooking was something to look forward to eating. Especially at Thanksgiving. Family was EVERYTHING to her and she included me as part of it. Her presence lighted up a room. I will forever have a piece of my heart missing until we meet again in heaven. Oh. What a day it will be.

In all the years I knew my sweet cousin Cheryl, like her sisters, she always had a smile and was quick to laugh. She was a kind person to everyone and had a gentle heart. Cheryl will always be remembered for how, even in a brief encounter, she made you feel special. My sincerest condolences to Bob and family.
