Claude F. �Chuck� Littles

Mr. Claude F. �Chuck� Littles, Sr. age 87 of Yulee FL passed away Monday morning, February 22, 2016 at the Warner Center for Caring in Fernandina Beach. Mr. Littles was born on June 13, 1928 in St Pauls NC, the eldest of two children born to the late Annie Belle and William Frank Littles. He was brought up and attended public school in Hope Mills NC. Mr. Littles enlisted in the United States Navy and received his Honorable Discharge in 1947. While stationed in Brunswick GA he met and married a young Brunswick lady by the name of Jean Kinchen and in 1953, they settled in Yulee to raise a family. He also began work at Container Corporation of America in Fernandina Beach the same year and retired after 44 years of service as a Recovery Operator in 1997. In 1991, he met and married Annis Moore and enjoyed their life together until her passing in 2014. He was also preceded in death by his sister Velma Hair in 1998. Mr. Littles enjoyed Karaoke and was a huge Florida Gators fan. He was a member of American Legion Post 54 in Fernandina Beach.
He leaves behind his children, Sheryl Wilkes and her husband Rick, Claude F. Littles, Jr. and his wife Ann, Judy Dunkle and her husband Bill, Susan Cox and her husband Frankie all of Yulee FL. Cindy Moore, George Jernigan, and Joy King, all of Fernandina Beach. His grandchildren, Allen Davis and his wife Heidi, Beth Miller, Beau Littles, Mandi Vest and her husband Larry, Becky Franklin, Michelle Arnold and her husband Aaron, Jeanie Bennet and her husband Anthony, Hilary Paetsch and her husband Josh, William Hagins, and Austin Cox. 18 great-grandchildren a one great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Home with Reverend J.C. Hester officiating. Military honors will be provided by the United States Navy. Mr. Littles will be privately laid to rest in Bosque-Bello Cemetery.
