Dale Patrick Shedd, 77, passed away on May 2, 2025, in Fernandina Beach, Florida.

Born on February 27, 1948, Dale served honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War, an experience that defined much of his early life and instilled in him a profound sense of duty and resilience.

Following his military service, Dale embarked on a successful career in marketing and upper management, where his leadership and strategic thinking were highly valued. His professional achievements were numerous, and he was respected by his colleagues for his insight and integrity.

Dale leaves behind his wife, Ellen Shedd; daughter, Kristen Shedd, mother, Margaret Zinnamon; brother, Michael Shedd; sisters, Lori Duke (Gregg) and Leeann Shedd and granddaughters, Skya Shedd and Rebekah Ramsey.

He was preceded in death by his son, Douglas Shedd and his parents, Shirley Deneau Shedd and Arthur Shedd.

A service to honor Dale’s life will be held at the Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.

Rather than flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Tunnel to Towers or Community Hospice Nassau, organizations that reflect Dale’s lifelong values of service and community support.
