Patty Hiatt

Daniel worked on my yard for Turf Science for years. He would come early in the am and I would always see him when going for my morning stroll. Today, another technician came and I asked when Daniel was. He told me that Daniel had passed. My neighbors and I were shocked and so sad. We wanted you, his family, to know he was always pleasant and kind and listened to our ‘silly’ weed problems. He always took care of them. Even with our limited exposure to Daniel, he made a great impression and we will miss him too. My prayers are with his loving family.

Daniel Walter Beverly, Sr.

2022-07-23

Daniel Walter Beverly, Sr., 47, of Yulee passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville.

A son of the late James Darrell Beverly and Virginia Clatworthy Beverly, he was born in Pittsburgh, PA. He moved with his family to Yulee in 1986.

Daniel was a member of the Fernandina Beach High School Class of 1993 and worked as a Lawn Care Technician for Turf Science for a number of years.

He was the kind of Dad who was at every cheerleading, wrestling, gymnastics and football practice, game and competition he could possibly make it to. He loved his family and they were always first in his life. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was something of a jokester. Even when he was the only person who thought his joke was funny, he would still be laughing out loud and wondering why nobody else thought his joke was a funny as he did. When he could he enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding his golf cart around the neighborhood.

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a brother, James D. Beverly, Jr.

He leaves behind the love of his life for over 22 years, his wife Candie Beverly of Yulee; his children, Daniel Walter Beverly, Jr of Charleston, SC, Kevin Graham Beverly and Kendall Michelle Beverly, both of Yulee; his mother, Ginny Beverly and two brothers, Kenny Beverly and Greg (Kristy) Beverly, all of Yulee as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 29, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends for the hour prior to the service.

He will be laid to rest near his father at Green Pine Cemetery.
