Danny D. Rozier

Mr. Danny D. Rozier, 74, of Fernandina Beach passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023 at UF Health in Jacksonville.
He was born and raised in Brunswick, GA and was a son of the late Steve and Audry Drury Rozier. Mr. Rozier served in the U. S. Army honorably and was a proud Vietnam veteran. He worked for Container Corporation in Brunswick for a number of years.
He moved to Fernandina Beach some 33 years ago and worked as a truck driver until his retirement. He was a member of Yulee Baptist Church. He loved camping and enjoyed fishing. He always enjoyed being with his family. Mr. Rozier was a meek and humble man who never raised his voice nor showed anger.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Donnie Rozier.
He leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Patricia Groover Rozier of Fernandina Beach; two sons, Gary Gaskill and his wife, Jeanette, of Yulee and Nicholas Gaskill and his wife, Stephanie of Fernandina Beach; a daughter, Stephanie Williams and her husband, Wendell of Brunswick; two brothers, Jerry Rozier of Fernandina Beach and Jackie Rozier of Pensacola; nine grandchildren, Hannah, Colt, Devyn, Hayley, Seth, Austin, Shawn, Laetitia and Chantal; five great-granddaughters, Lylian, Paisley, Jocelyn, Clementine and Layla.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Oxley-Heard Funeral Directors from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Yulee Baptist Church with Pastor Doug Sides officiating.
He will be laid to rest at Chester Cemetery.
