David Clyde Moore, 73 of Yulee, Fl passed away on Friday, August 30 at Baptist Medical Center in the company of loved ones.
Born on May 25, 1951 in Starke, FL to the late Aubrey R Moore and Lillie Mae Moore, David was the youngest of their seven children. David grew up in Starke and graduated from Braddford County Highschool in 1969. Soon after high school he began courting Linda Sue Mercer of Yulee, FL and the couple became married in 1971.
David worked at Terminal Bag Company in Yulee for 16 years while also serving in the Army National Guard out of Camp Blanding from 1972 to 1979. He later found his purpose as a diesel mechanic which is the career he flourished in until retirement.
David was preceded in death by brothers Leonard Moore and Paul R Moore. David is survived by his lovely wife of over 53 years, Linda Mercer Moore, his daughter Dana Celeste (Michael) Sacco, his son Christopher Moore, grandchildren Eli Shane (Rena) Sacco and Michael David “Mickey” Sacco, brother Mark (Darlene) Moore of Hawthorne, sisters Audrey Bishop, and Sandra (Harold) Davis of Starke, and Joyce Thompson of South Carolina, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to remember and celebrate David’s life will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Yulee Baptist Church beginning at 11:00 AM.
