Dayne J. Gilleland, 62 of Yulee, FL passed away April 23, 2026 at home.

Born December 1964 in Dayton, OH to the late Marcia and Jerald Gilleland. He grew up in Randolph Township, OH attending Northmont High School class of 1983. He attended Ohio University and Wright State University.

Dayne was employed at Dayton Water Systems as Vice President of Industrial Operations. In his spare time he enjoyed working on his home and his Trans Am.

He was the father of one son, John who he took much pride watching him grow. He was the husband to Elizabeth (Beth) for 31 years. He moved to Florida seeking treatment to extend as much time possible with his family.

Dayne leaves behind his spouse, Elizabeth Gilleland (Brookhart), Yulee FL; son, John Gilleland, Yulee, FL; late parents, Marcia Gilleland (Stokley) and Jerald Gilleland; late in-laws, Urell Brookhart (Hensley) and Daniel Brookhart; sister, Melissa Lefkow (Gilleland); brother in-law, Daniel Brookhart Jr. (Lori); sister in-law, Rhonda Brookhart; nieces, nephews, family, friends and co-workers.

Dayne will be cremated with a memorial service Wednesday, May 6, 2026 from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Oxley-Heard Funeral Directors chapel Fernandina Beach, FL.
