Debra Castor Wilder

2021-12-29

Debra Castor Wilder, 69, of Fernandina Beach passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at her home.

She was born in Jacksonville and was a daughter of the late Bernard and Ruby Neil Castor. She and her husband, Ricky, moved back to Fernandina from Picayune, MS one year ago.

Debra was an easy-going lady who loved walking on the beach and looking for shark’s teeth. In addition to walking on the beach she enjoyed a variety of arts and crafts and being with family as often as she could.

She will be remembered for her direct and matter of fact style that was always tempered by her big heart. When she was direct, you always knew she meant it but in the same conversation her way of saying “I love you” was so very special.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Robert Castor, George Castor, Joseph Castor and Sandra Fogg.

She leaves behind her husband of 22 years, Ricky Wilder; her children, Shawn (Crystal) Sapp of Picayune, MS, Timothy White of Stevensville, MT, Cindy (Eugene) McKinney of Nebraska and Paula Franklin of Callahan; her sisters, Judy Weggint of St. Mary’s, GA and Toni Baggett of Jacksonville as well as16 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren several extended family members.

The family is planning a time to celebrate and remember Debra’s life in the near future.
