Deron Bennett

Deron A. Bennett, 46 of Fernandina Beach, Florida passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 10, 2021.
Deron was born on July 15, 1974 in Jacksonville to Mary and Al Bennett. He attended the local schools and a few years at St. Patrick’s and Bishop Kenny in Jacksonville before graduating from Fernandina Beach High School, Class of 1992. He received his AA degree from FCCJ-Jacksonville and later trained as a flight attendant, working for American Airlines and Jet Blue Airlines. He then graduated from FSCJ Dental Hygiene Program and became certified as a Dental Hygienist.
Deron was a wonderful, loving son, brother and friend. He loved to travel and was able to visit many places during his time with the airlines. He was a lifelong member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
Deron now rests peacefully in the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Brad Bennett; cousin, Philip Godwin; maternal grandparents, Harold and Maude Godwin; paternal grandmother, Mary Catherine Bennett.
He leaves behind his parents Mary and Al Bennett; grandfather, Cecil A. Bennett; sister-in-law, Kristi Bennett and many aunts, uncles and cousins whom he loved very much.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Father Jose Kallukalam, Celebrant.
He will be laid to rest in Bosque Bello Cemetery.
