Dewey Sapp

Dewey C. Sapp, 91, of Yulee passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Warner Center for Caring.
Mr. Sapp, a native of Hoboken, GA, was a son the late Pat and Dicie Sapp Crews. His family moved to Yulee when he was young.
Mr. Sapp went to work at an early age as many of his generation did. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II and after the war returned home to Nassau County.
He worked in the timber industry for many years. At the time of his retirement he worked for Rayonier in their Timberlands division. Until his health declined, Mr. Sapp attended River of Praise Worship Center.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased his first wife, Queechie Sapp, his second wife, Myrtle Sapp and a brother, Avery Crews.
He leaves behind his eight siblings, Vernon Crews of Augusta, GA, Betty Pell of Osteen, FL, Ruth Krauss, Shirley Blackmon, Mary Williamson, Bobby Crews, Jimmy Crews, all of Yulee, FL and Roger Crews of Millen, GA as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral services for Mr. Sapp will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 11:00 AM at River of Praise Worship Center with Pastor Larry Osborn officiating. The family will receive friends for the hour prior to the service.
Mr. Sapp will be laid to rest beside his first wife at Hughes Cemetery immediately following.

I am Queechie�s niece, Arlene Altman , daughter of James Altman. I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Dewey�s passing. I just learned of it today He was always good to our family and I believe he was a good man. He made my Aunt Queet happy and treated her well. I remember they always drove a truck with a camper and had little dogs.
