Diane Elizabeth (Barber) Camarotti

Diane Elizabeth (Barber) Camarotti of Yulee Florida passed away peacefully, on Monday, May 15, 2023
surrounded by her loving family, into the waiting arms of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Pastor Frank Camarotti. She also leaves behind her children, Linda Patterson (Kevin), Terri Johnson (Jerry), Frank Camarotti Jr. (Kimberly), and seven grandchildren, Michael, Aaron, Leah, Olivia, Sarah and Jordan, and four great Grandchildren, Emily, Molly, Jacie, Ellie.

Through her 42 years of being a Pastor’s wife, Diane taught Adult Bible Studies, and Youth Ministry. She was gifted with exceptional Hospitality, Cooking, and decorating skills. She had a special skill, of making people feel welcome. She was the previous Owner of the Yulee Florist and Gift Shop.

She served for 2 years in Romania, with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. While there, she held a Women’s Evangelistic Conference for 150 Women at the Holy
Trinity Baptist Church, in Bucharest, Romania. She taught 40 Romanian women how to to share their faith. This work continues there to this day. She has often spoken as a Consultant for the Northeast Florida Women’s Missions and Ministries Education Team, and to many Florida Baptist Churches.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Oxley -Heard Funeral Directors from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 18, 2023 beginning at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Fernandina Beach.

She will be laid to rest at Jacksonville National Cemetery at a later date.
