Dolores Elizabeth Murray

2020-04-11

Dolores Elizabeth Murray, neeKlein, 89 went home to the Lord and all she loves on Friday, April 10, 2020. She was the eldest child and daughter of the late William John Klein and the late Margaret Cecelia Klein, nee Kreiner of Baltimore.

Dee to her friends, Dukie to family, she was married for 62 years to her greatest love, the late James Ormond Murray of Ormond Beach, Florida. His death nearly crushed her, but she drew on her deep inner faith and strength to go on and continued to be a rock on which her family and friends could depend.

Born at her grandparents home in Baltimore, she was advisor and confidant to her numerous family members and friends from her earliest years. Her love, loyalty and willingness to listen and help was unending. Known for her ability to take charge and for carrying out her duty, family and friends counted on her dependability, intelligence and her moral strength and courage.

Though a proud Daughter of Maryland, she accompanied her husband in his transfer to the Philadelphia area and retirement to his home state of Florida.

Mrs. Murray is survived by three of her four children, James Murray Jr., John C. Murray of Fernandina Beach, Florida and Lisa M. Turpin of Coeur DAlene, Idaho and by her eight grandsons, Christopher, Patrick, Sean and Anthony Murray, Daniel Jobson, Austin, Ryan and Braedan Turpin.

Mrs. Murray was predeceased by her daughter, Cheryl Murray Jobson, her sister, Viola G. Dewald, her brother, William J. Klein, Jr. and his son, William J. Klein, III.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to St. Michaels Catholic Church or the charity of their choice.

Interment will be private.
