Donna Haug DiCostanzo
2020-07-31
It is with great sadness that the family of Donna DiCostanzo,70, announce her passing on July 31, 2020, in Fernandina Beach after a brief illness with pancreatic cancer.
Donna was born in Columbia, PA on September 16, 1949 to James and Mildred Haug.
She was a high school teacher at Penn Wood High School in Pennsylvania and Camden County High School in Georgia until her retirement, after which she spent her time volunteering with Barnabas Center and Hope House. Donna enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, cooking, walking, exercising, and spending time with family.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Peter; children, Stephanie (Paul) Hamel and Amy (Mike) Paylor; sister, Carol Fraunfelter; brothers, James Haug and Chas Haug; grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle, Alexander, Noelle, and Eva, as well as numerous relatives and friends. She will also be dearly missed by her friends at bridge club and Isle de Mai.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Saint Peters Episcopal Church in Fernandina Beach.
A private service will be held at the familys request.
This wonderful woman will be missed by the many lives she touched.

Several weeks ago, Peter, we passed one another at the Emergency Room entrance. I was dealing with a situation as were you. I wish we had had the opportunity to speak then. I am so sorry to hear of Donnas death. You both created such a lovely home that my mother and I were able to enjoy for many years. I can see the bundle of joy that was Donna as I write. If there is anything I can do for you, please dont hesitate to ask.Anon, Ron
