Donnia Kay Davis, 81, of Fernandina Beach passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020 at her home.

She was born in Harrisburg, AR and was the daughter of the late Willie Robert and Sadie Bradley Spencer.

Mrs. Davis was a librarian and teacher. She retired after 26 years service as the school librarian with the Fremont Christian School in Fremont, CA.

She and her husband, Gail, moved to Fernandina Beach over 20 years ago. An avid and excellent seamstress, she was a member of the Amelia Island Quilt Guild. Mrs. Davis was also active as a member of the DAR and helped with the Marine Corps League �Toys for Tots� campaign.

She leaves behind her husband of 57 years, Gail Davis; her children, Sheri Inserra and her husband, Chris of Fernandina Beach and David Davis and his wife, Shannon of Lakeland, FL; two grandchildren, Samuel Robert Inserra of Tallahassee, FL and Patrick Urland of Vero Beach, FL; a loving caregiver, Janeecee Johnson as well as other extended family members.

Mrs. Davis will be laid to rest at Bosque Bello Cemetery in a graveside service Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 11:00 AM. Chaplain Jackie Hayes will officiate.
