Dr. William H. Cline

Dr. William H. Cline 95 of Fernandina Beach, Fl. passed away Thursday February 23, 2017. Dr. Cline was born on August 28, 1921 in Lockport, N.Y, the son of Harry and Alice Cline. The family moved to Fanwood, New Jersey where he spent his early years. He graduated from Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School in the Class of 1939.

After 3 years of pre-veterinary study, he enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated in 1945 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. He served in U.S. Army during World War II in the Veterinary Corps. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain. He married the former Shirley Todd and they settled in Millington, NJ where they lived for 50 years. Dr. Cline opened his veterinary practice in Fanwood NJ and served the community for over 40 years . Dr. Cline and Mrs. Cline moved to Amelia Island in 1992. He was a member of the Presbyterian Faith.

Dr. Cline leaves behind his wife Shirley Todd Cline, his three daughters, Virginia Livingston of Scottsdale. AZ, Carol Albers of Long Valley, NJ and Cynthia Jamison and her husband Charles Marci of Chicago, Ill. & Denver, Co., 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held at 1100 A.M. Friday, March 3, 2017 at the Amelia Plantation Chapel with Rev. Ted Schroder, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested donations to The United State Humane Society or The Seeing Eye of Morristown, N.J.
