Dustin Kyle Rosetta

2022-08-24

Dustin Kyle Rosetta, 41, of Yulee passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at St. Vincent’s Riverside Hospital.

Born in Jacksonville to the Catherine Griffin and the late William Charles Rosetta he moved with his family to Yulee when he was 8 years old.

He attended Nassau County Schools and was a member of the 1999 graduating class of Fernandina Beach High School. Dustin was a loving and kind young man. He loved NASCAR and fishing and people. His friendly disposition let him make friends easily. His mother was proud of how often someone would comment on how well mannered he was.,

As a teenager he worked at the Kentucky Fried Chicken when it was open on the island and as a young man worked as a bagger at Winn-Dixie in Loften Square. He will always be remembered for how quickly he would flash the “peace” sign and loudly say “Peace!”

He leaves behind his mother and her husband, Cathy and Greg Alligood of Yulee; his paternal grandmother, Jean Maddox of Orlando; a half-sister, Angel Smith of Dallas, GA; two cousins, Rhiannon Hrinko of Orlando and Jammie Maddox of Jacksonville; a very special caregiver, Granny, also known as Miss MinnIe, as well as several extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 29, 2022 at 12:00 PM in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Directors with Rev. Pete Jones officiating,

He will be laid to rest at Green Pine Cemetery with his maternal grandparents.
