Her grandson, DeAngelo gave her the nickname “Big Mom” when he was seven months old, a name that everyone would call her. Mrs. McIntosh loved to dress up in nice clothes and loved diamonds, REAL diamonds.

Mrs. McIntosh was a longtime member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she was an Usher and a member of the Live Wire Club. Her church always held a special place in her life and until her health declined, she attended on a regular basis. Her favorite hymns were, “Amazing Grace”, “I Never Would Have Made It” and “Because He Lives, I Can Face Tomorrow”.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. McIntosh was predeceased by her sisters, Mable Chatman and Pearlie Mae Lowe; two grandsons, Brandon McIntosh and Michael McIntosh, Jr; and her former husband, Robert David McIntosh, II who she was married to for 56 years.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her children, Marcelia McIntosh Hollins and her husband, Bertran Leon of Jacksonville, Frank McIntosh of Fernandina Beach and Michael A. McIntosh and his wife, Rose also of Fernandina Beach; her sister, Thelma Lotts; her eight grandchildren, DeAngelo L. Hollins, Lisa T. Priester, Marissa McIntosh, Jasmine McIntosh, Martin McIntosh, Chalene Young, Jordan McIntosh, and Joanna McIntosh; her 14 great grandchildren, DeAngelo, Jr., DeAnna, Aniah, Josiah, Lilliana, Troy, Ross Lyn, Michael, Isaiah, Maryana, Martin, Jr., Jamere, Yarrell and Amari as well as a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.
