Edgar G. "Jerry" Cook, 87, of Fernandina Beach passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025.

A native of Fernandina Beach, Mr. Cook had retired from Anheuser-Bush and also worked as a crab man running traps for many years. He enjoyed hunting and working around the house.

He was predeceased earlier this year by his wife of 67 years, Eleanor Yvonne Cook

He leaves behind his children, Gerald (Cindy) Cook of Jacksonville and his daughter, Karen Cook of Fernandina Beach as well as an extended family including 4 great grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Funeral services for Mr. Cook will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025 at New Life Baptist Church beginning at 11:30 AM with Pastor Truman Blankenship officiating. The family will begin receiving friends at 10:30 AM.

He will be laid to rest beside his wife at Chester Cemetery.
