Edith Marie Kroese, known to most as Oma, was born July 25,1928 as Edith Marie Jordan in Batesville, Arkansas. She was the only child of Elan and Mae Jordan, and a beloved grandchild of Frank and Elinor Crowell.
She attended schools in Arkansas, New Mexico and Arizona and eventually received her Master’s Degree in Education from Arizona State University.
She married Howard L. Kroese on April 4, 1951 and they lived in Arizona, Colorado and Florida during their 72 years together. They travelled extensively and served as volunteer missionaries in Uganda, Israel and Japan.
Edith went to meet her Lord on January 12, 2023, at the age of 94, at home, surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her husband, Howard, her two daughters, Victoria Ann and Kristy May, her six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Graveside services for Mrs. Kroese will be held Friday, January 13, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Bosque Bello Cemetery.
