Edward Benjamin Ridolfi

2026-01-23

Edward B. Ridolfi, Sr., passed into the loving embrace of God on January 23, 2026—the 17th anniversary of the death of his wife of 50 years, Dorothy Porter Boulden Ridolfi. Born on an unusually warm day, December 22, 1936, in Trenton, New Jersey, Ed modeled a life of educational and professional accomplishment that influenced all who were fortunate to know him.

He graduated from Seton Hall University, where he was co-captain of the varsity soccer team. A lifelong teacher, he taught high school English; served as a decorated infantry training officer in the United States Army; and spent 30 years with The McGraw-Hill Companies as a training director and executive. He also served on the adjunct faculty of both The College of New Jersey and Mercer County Community College, and received the American Management Association’s Wall of Fame award in New York City. Ed lived in Hamilton Square, New Jersey; Newburyport, Massachusetts; and, most recently, Amelia Island, Florida.

He is survived by three grateful children and their spouses—his son, Ed Ridolfi, and wife, Michelle; his daughter, Judy Nixon, and husband, Craig; and his daughter, Jackie Ryan, and husband, Michael—along with six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth and wholehearted friendliness that will be remembered by all who knew him.
