Mrs. Elaine Grosso Nelson, age 71 formerly of New York and Atlanta, GA passed away on Sunday evening, May 28, 2017 at the Warner Center for Caring near her home on Amelia Island, FL.

Born in New York, NY, she was the youngest of two children born to the late Edwin and Katherine McCabe Grosso. Growing up; she attended St. Agnes Parochial School, after which time she attended the Gibbs Secretarial School in New York City. She had worked as an Administrative Assistant with NBC and ABC Broadcasting in New York before moving to Atlanta, GA in the mid 1970s, where she worked for Avon Products and Amoco Oil. In 1980 she married Ronald P. Nelson. She retired in 1990 and the Nelsons relocated to the Amelia Island Plantation on Amelia Island, FL.

Since moving to the shores of Northeast Florida she has enjoyed walks on the beach and many rounds of golf and international travel.

Mrs. Nelson leaves behind her husband, Ronald P. Nelson, Amelia Island, FL, children, Ronald P. Nelson Jr., (Sanae), Carlsbad, CA, Carrie Mancuso, Glen Ellyn, IL, Jennifer Calhoun (Scott), Oakton, VA, a brother, Ed Grosso, Cape Cod, MA, six grandchildren, two nephews and a niece.

A Time of Remembrance of her life will be held at 5pm, on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Walkers Landing on the Amelia Island Plantation. A reception will follow at Walkers Landing.
