Elbert E. Wigger, Jr.

Mr. Elbert E. �Ed� Wigger Jr., age 80 of Yulee passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the Warner Center for Caring.

Born in Charleston, SC, he was the son of the late Elbert E. Wigger Sr. and Inez Todd Wigger. He grew up in Charleston where he was a graduate of Saint Andrews High School. After high school he served in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Coast Guard before retiring in 1978. In 1979 he moved to Orlando and joined the Orange County Public School System where he worked until retiring in 2002. Upon moving to Yulee he became active in Amelia Masonic Lodge No. 47 and the Fernandina Beach Shrine Club. Ed enjoyed Masonic Lodge and Shrine club meetings and driving his �Elmo� red Mustang in the Shrine parades.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Tessa Lynn Wigger, a sister, Inez Wigger Hodges and a brother, Robert Henson.

Mr. Wigger leaves behind, his wife of 45 years, Carol Wigger, Yulee, FL, two daughters, Starra Marie Patel, Daytona, FL, Tessa Marie Wall, Yulee, FL, brothers, John H. Wigger, Fernnandina Beach, FL, John W. �Whitt� Wigger, Charleston, SC, James Henson, Moncks Corner, SC, Scott Hayes, Charleston, SC, Vincent Wigger, Charleston, SC, eight nieces, four nephews and a much anticipated grandson due to arrive in March.

Memorial services will be at 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Amelia Lodge No. 47, 1101 South 14th Street, Fernandina Beach, FL with Ed O�Rourke, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner�s Hospital for Children, c/o Mr. Jack Love, 675 Nassauville Road, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034.
